STEVEN W. LYNN
Steve holds the position of Vice President at both UniSource Energy Corporation and Tucson Electric Power Company. In that capacity, he is responsible for positioning UniSource Energy and TEP with regulators, customers and the greater community. He oversees the information technology, corporate communications, consumer relations, community affairs and government relations functions for both UniSource Energy and TEP. Steve joined UniSource Energy and TEP in 2000.
From February to August, 2005, Steve served as the Interim President and CEO of Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities, Inc. (TREO). This new non-profit is a joint venture of city and county government, the business community and the education community in eastern Pima County.
Prior to joining UniSource Energy and TEP, he spent sixteen years as an owner-partner at Nordensson Lynn & Associates, Inc., one of Arizona’s leading marketing communications firms based in Tucson. In 1994, Steve was named Tucson’s Advertising Professional of the Year by the Tucson Advertising Federation.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Arizona and holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Communications.
Active in the community, Steve currently serves as Chairman of Arizona’s Independent Redistricting Commission, Past-Chairman of Southern Arizona Leadership Council Board of Directors, Co-Chair of the Arizona Early Education Fund, and Chairman of the newly formed Downtown Tucson Partnership.
His many other civic activities include board membership on the Governor’s School Readiness Board, the UofA College of Social and Behavioral Sciences Advisory Board, the Arizona Hospital and Health Care Service Corporation, Carondelet Health Network and Science Foundation Arizona. He is also a member of the DM – 50 support group.
Steve and his wife of 38 years, Nancy (a high school guidance counselor), have two adult daughters. One is a mathematics tutor/volunteer chaplain in Tucson, and the other is the Talent Supervisor for psychologist Phil McGraw on the syndicated television show, 'Dr. Phi'l.

TOM COLLIEr
December 2007, Tom Collier marks 10 years as president and C.E.O. of the Better Business Bureau of Southern Arizona. When he took the job, Tom completed the standard number of career changes expected of today's American worker.
He has had his own company, a lobbying and public relations firm; he has worked for the Tucson Chamber of Commerce as vice president for government affairs; he has worked as a lobbyist for private enterprise including United Technologies and the Arizona Automobile Dealers Association; he has run trade associations for Arizona's mining industry and for the manufacturing sector of Arizona's economy.
Prior to those career changes, Tom spent 15-years in television, working as a news reporter, writer, editor and TV anchorman.
In the time he has been at the Better Business Bureau, he has moved the organization's technical public service capabilities from 3 by 5 index cards to fully-networked computer databases, available over the internet. In May 2007, the BBB opened a branch office in Sierra Vista.
Consumer contacts at the BBB have risen from 36,000 per year to well over 300,000 per year. Membership in the Better Business Bureau has increased from 1,200 companies to nearly 2,300…making the BBB the second largest membership-based organization in Tucson and southern Arizona.
He and his wife Beverly have four grown children and 3 grandchildren

Joan koerber-walker
CEO Arizona Small Business Association
Joan Koerber-Walker has over 25 years of National and International business experience including executive management at Avnet a Fortune 500 company, entrepreneurial experience, and numerous community leadership positions. Her greatest talent is in creating sustainable results by combining the experience, skills and talents within teams to create focused business environments that maximize innovation, growth, profitability and return on investment.
In 2004, she was recognized by the Stevie Awards, the “Oscar” for women entrepreneurs as one of the leading business women in the United States for her own company. CorePurpose, Inc.
An author and popular speaker, her subjects are entrepreneurship, innovation and customer enthusiasm. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and 2006/2007 president of the Arizona Chapter.
Joan serves on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Technology Council, and as Chairman of the Opportunity through Entrepreneurship Foundation. She is a member of the W.P.Carey Executive MBA Advisory Board.

Stephen HARt
Senior Area Manager, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA
As the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Senior Area Manager for Southern Arizona, Stephen Hart oversees federal efforts to help entrepreneurs start, grow and succeed in small business. He coordinates SBA’s marketing and outreach efforts, works with lenders and with SBA’s resource partners - SCORE, Small Business DevelopmentCenters, Women Business Centers, and ASBA.
He has experience from both the private sector and government. In government, Hart held senior management positions in the White House, the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Department of State. His private sector work includes stints in the telecommunications industry and with America’s major freight railroads. He resides in Tucson with his wife and two sons.

Marie Wesselhoft
Director, Arizona Center for Innovation
Marie Wesselhoft currently serves as the Director for the Arizona Center for Innovation (AzCI). In that role Marie leads the efforts of this high-tech business incubator located at the University of Arizona Science & Technology Park in Tucson. In addition to that role, Marie serves as the President of MSDx, LLC, a start-up company focused on commercializing a blood test for Multiple Sclerosis.
Marie has 25+ years of business experience with a successful track record in the Healthcare industry. Marie held positions such as VP/General Manager, VP Marketing, Area VP of Sales and Operations, and Product Manager during her twenty-year career at Cardinal/Allegiance/Baxter/American Hospital. In her role as General Manager of the Scientific Products Laboratory, the $850 million business delivered 8 years of on-plan performance. This included responsibility of a 120+ sales team and a 20+ marketing organization. Throughout her career she has had multiple opportunities to reposition a business or department, launch $100M product lines, negotiate partnership agreements, manage key accounts, as well as in facilitate the integration of teams for acquisitions and divestitures.
She also held the position of Executive VP of Clinical Strategies at Misys Healthcare, a medical IT company. During her years at Humana she was both a Laboratory Director and Medical Technologist. She also has recent experience with several healthcare start-up companies including Medipacs and MSDx.

TERESA TRUELSEN
Editor, The Business Edge
Teresa Truelsen is editor of Tucson Business Edge, the business section of the Tucson Citizen, and TucsonBusinessEdge.com, it's enhanced business news Web site. In 2004, she helped launch Tucson Business Edge magazine, a monthly business-to-business publication. Since it's inception in 2005, she has spearheaded the Tucson Business Edge 40 Under 40 Awards, a successful program which annually recognizes Tucson's young business and community leaders. Teresa has been a professional journalist for 18 years, almost 12 of those at the Tucson Citizen. Teresa is a member of the United Way Young Leaders Society and on the planning committee for the Women's Foundation of Southern Arizona Luncheon.
